This report aims to map smart/connected home products in Norwegian households. The data stems from a representative survey conducted among Norwegian consumers in May 2019. The study is part of the SIFO-led research project RELINK, financed by the Norwegian Research Council under the IKTPLUSS-programme. RELINK aims to develop frameworks, tools and scenarios that address current and future risks and safety issues related to the Internet of Things (IoT) in connected households. The survey provides and early glimpse of what types of smart/connected products Norwegian consumers avail themselves of in their homes, their experiences with these products, and their opinions about the opportunities and challenges of smart/connected products – and future prospects.
